2. Medical Insurance

Health insurance is mandatory for all international students in Georgia. While some universities bundle this into the tuition fee, many do not. You must purchase a local Georgian health insurance policy to cover emergencies and regular doctor visits. Cost: ~$100 to $150 per year.

3. Document Translation & Notarization

Before admission, your 10th/12th marksheets and passport must be translated into Georgian and notarized. Upon arrival, you often have to pay for the translation of your final NCEQE decree and medical certificates. Cost: ~$200 to $300 (One-time during admission).

4. Books and Uniforms

You need a white coat, a stethoscope, and surgical scrubs for clinical rotations. While many students use PDFs on their iPads, purchasing hard copies of heavy medical textbooks (like Gray's Anatomy) is expensive. Cost: ~$100 to $200 per year.

5. Flight Tickets

Agents often show the "total budget" excluding airfare. You will travel from India to Georgia at least once a year. Flight prices fluctuate wildly depending on when you book. Cost: ~$350 to $500 per one-way ticket.

6. Utility Bills in Private Apartments

If you move out of the university hostel in your second year to rent an apartment, your base rent does not include utilities. In the winter, because of central heating (gas/electricity), your utility bills will spike significantly. Cost: ~$30 to $50 extra per month during winter.
