How to Apply for SAARC Quota Scholarship in Bangladesh
What is the SAARC Quota?
The SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) quota is a scholarship program offered by the Government of Bangladesh. It allows highly meritorious students from SAARC countries (including India) to study in Government Medical Colleges in Bangladesh without paying any tuition fees!
Eligibility for Indian Students
To secure a SAARC seat, you need an exceptional academic record:
- Minimum 95%+ marks in 12th Board Exams (PCB).
- A very high NEET score.
- No gap years allowed after passing the 12th standard.
The Application Process
The application is processed directly through the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME), Bangladesh. Because the competition is fierce (only a handful of seats are allocated to India), all documents must be perfectly apostilled and submitted through the Bangladesh High Commission.
