Red Flag 1: "Guaranteed Admission Without NEET"

If an agent tells you they can secure your admission and ensure you can practice in India even if you failed NEET, run away. The NMC strictly mandates NEET qualification for Indian practice. Anyone claiming to bypass this is lying.

Red Flag 2: Cash Payments for "Packages"

Legitimate consultancies charge a defined consulting/processing fee. The actual university tuition fee must always be paid directly from the parent's bank account to the university's official bank account abroad via Swift Transfer. If an agent demands the entire 6-year tuition fee in cash in India as a "Package Deal," it is almost certainly a scam.

Red Flag 3: Hiding Hidden Costs

Scam agents will show a very low total budget to hook you, completely hiding the costs of the TRC (Residence Card), mandatory health insurance, document apostille, and flight tickets. Demand a complete, itemized breakdown of every single cost for all 6 years.

Red Flag 4: Unrecognized Universities

Always cross-check the university name on the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) and ensure it complies with the NMC 2021 Gazette (54-month course + 12-month internship in English). Fake agents often push low-tier, non-compliant colleges because they receive massive commissions from them.

Red Flag 5: No Local Support

A legitimate consultancy's job does not end when you board the flight. Ask the agent: "Do you have a physical office and dedicated representatives in Georgia?" If they abandon you at Delhi airport, they are just ticket brokers, not educational consultants.
