Dr. Panjabrao alias Bhausaheb Deshmukh Memorial Medical College (PDMMC), located in Amravati, Maharashtra, is one of the oldest private medical colleges in the state. Established in 1984, it is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
The college was founded in memory of Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh, India's first Union Minister of Agriculture, with the mission to provide quality medical education and healthcare services to the Vidarbha region. The institution operates a 770-bed teaching hospital—Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hospital & Research Centre—which offers extensive clinical exposure to medical students and residents.
The hospital is well-equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities, including modular operation theatres, intensive care units (ICU, NICU, PICU), trauma and emergency units, and specialty departments in medicine, surgery, obstetrics, orthopedics, and pediatrics.
